Our Faculty
Don M. Frick, M.Div., Ph.D., is a university professor, consultant,
public speaker, media producer, author and long-standing student
of servant leadership. In 2004 Berrett-Koehler Publishers released
his book Robert K. Greenleaf: A Life of Servant Leadership,
the authorized biography of the man who first coined the phrase "servant-leader." He
was also co-editor of On Becoming a Servant-Leader (Jossey-Bass,
1996), a collection of Robert Greenleaf’s previously unpublished
writings, and contributed chapters to the books Reflections on
Leadership (John Wiley & Sons, 1995) and Insights on
Leadership (John Wiley & Sons, 1997), and Positively
M.A.D.: Making a Difference in Your Organizations, Communities, and
the World (Berrett-Koehler, 2004). Don is a senior
consultant at Magellan Executive Resources.
Since he first read Greenleaf’s The
Servant as Leader in
1986, Dr. Frick has conducted dozens of interactive day-long workshops
on Servant Leadership for corporate, non-profit and community leadership
groups. He designed and wrote extensive Servant Leadership
curricula for the Servant Leadership Development Center in Alexandria,
Virginia and Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas. An experienced
public speaker, in 2005 he keynoted the first Asian Conference on
Servant Leadership in Singapore, shared Servant Leadership through
dozens of speaking engagements around the country, and has presented
4 times at the International Conference on Servant Leadership.
Dr. Frick earned a B.S. in Education degree from Eastern Illinois
University, a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary
in Indianapolis, and a PhD in Leadership and Organizational Studies
from The Union Institute and University.

Our Host
Jeff Pauley is founder and principal of Magellan Executive Resources,
Inc. As the Academy’s host, he brings an incredible wealth
of real-world case examples from his years of experience serving
people in businesses, non-profits, and government agencies (at the
local, state, and federal level) who are working to apply Servant
Leadership in their lives and organizations.
Jeff conceptualized the Servant-Leader Training Academy program
concept. He has presented at the International Conference on
Servant Leadership and has conducted seminars for businesses groups
in the United States and Canada. Recognized for his work, Jeff
was asked to facilitate the board development process for the acclaimed
Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.
Prior to establishing Magellan Executive Resources in 2002, Jeff served
several software and health care organizations in leadership roles.
He has also held board positions for non-profit and for-profit organizations,
and as an active volunteer in his community has managed/advised numerous
political campaigns.
